022908_m_b.jpgGlobe and Mail praises VANOC's social conscience. Have I ever told you that I'm actually in love with David Eby?

Mayor Sam wants more cops on the beat. "The Federal commitment was police on the street, and I have been to Ottawa with members of my NPA Council seven times to advocate for this police funding". No seriously, have you ever seen Office Space? I mean, the similarities are staggering.

Covenenant Zone: "One of the reasons, dear Vancouver reader, you may not be attending our regular Covenant Zone Thursday night meetings is the proximity of our meeting place to a modest hang out for homeless guys, some of whom beg and display their mental illness for all to see". Or it could be that you're all a bunch of small-dicked, simpering xenophobes with all the charm, wit, and relevance of an entire resort packed full of bloated, leather-skinned octogenarians.

Halfway house could close after funds cut. Yay! More troubled men out on the streets please! Quick! Somebody offer them drugs!

Quick, somebody offer them... voicemail? Google Gives All SF Homeless Free Voicemail. Is Google running for President? Can Google come and be our mayor?

Will EcoDensity Make City More Affordable? "History, and high land values, say don't count on it." Pffft. What has history ever got right? That's right, everything.

2 more Vancouver condo projects in receivership. Its all happening! We told you so. "We" of course referring in this case to everybody else other than me, but you get the point.

Indie mayoral hopefuls hit Vancouver campaign trail. Don't get excited kids, they aren't saying that Dan Bejar is running. Although by the looks of it, Simon Cowell is.

Suzanne Anton bitch slaps Dianne Watts. Because apparently that's what its called when two women have political differences. 'Cat fight' works too.

Half of parks board calls on its chair to resign. Why is the parks board the most exciting thing in Vancouver politics?

Cops swoop down on cockfighters. Really? Page A4? Is anybody really surprised? Its Surrey for Christ's sake. Its basically Mississippi.

Oops, somebody accidentally sent their editor a transcript of their last livejournal entry. Oh well, that's what editors are for.

Upcoming climate-change and environmental events in Vancouver.

There is also a BBQ at Victory Square on Saturday from Noon to 2:30 to support Insite.

"Oops, somebody accidentally sent their editor a transcript of their last livejournal entry."

HAHA that's awesome (and by that I mean your comment about the story)

Keep reading us, Sean; you may one day develop a voice and language other than that you obsessively use and imagine, only to obsessively denounce in others.
