Morning Brew: Happy Hallmark Day (I'm going to Space Soon)

021408_mb.jpgProposed recovery house worries residents. So I'm pretty sure that I'm going through something similar to what Bill Murray was going through in Groundhog Day.

For example check out this Deja Vu: DTES housing losses grow. "God forbid we suggest this trend is linked to the Olympics".

VANOC boss expects protests. Maybe because he says stupid shit like "we have met every promise we've given". Cost overruns? Check. Evictions? Check. Small businesses destroyed along Cambie? Check. Dead native protesters? Check. Glowing endorsements from NBC? Check.

Another NPA candidate joins the fray. Come on Zlotnick! Get in there! You too Capri! Everybody! Its democracy! Yay! Mayor is no longer listed as single.

What's Up Wednesdays. I think maybe I might call my album Silence. Pandas. Boom. Also, why is everybody so obsessed with this? Its not like the A-rabs did it or anything. Is it because it was a Starbucks? Is that why everyone's so upset?

Speaking of A-rabs, everybody's favourite Israeli apologist and war monger Karl Rove is at our publicly funded Art Gallery, and only for $500 a person! But I'm sure if we protest (and we will), it'll violate his first amendment rights.

Throne speech rings hollow with native leaders. Like a tree falling in the forest?

More throne speech fallout: Gateway + LiveSmart = False Hope. LiveSmart, eh? Is that a dare? Because you're making it pretty easy to live like a mental retard right now.

Speaking of mental retards, Libs' throne speech a green success. Because you know what a green success looks like, right Erin? Because you're such a firm believer in the green movement, right Erin?

More than three dozen RCMP officers -- some dressed in riot gear and carrying assault rifles -- surrounded and rousted about half a dozen people Wednesday from a camp where they've been protesting against a proposed highway interchange. Yup, sounds pretty green to me.

Riverview revamp grows in scope. The resulting community - to be called the Coquitlam Commons - would include everything from facilities for the mentally ill to high-end market housing. The tough part will be deciding who goes where.

Maybe UBC's so-called 'experts' on drug policy can help. Pffft, those ivory tower 'academics'. What do they know? Hmmmmm, I wonder if Mr. Ferguson has a degree?

Canadian Segregation Wins! I guess its not racist if they say it themselves. Is what I just said racist? God, I just don't know anymore.

Gleaner update. Ha ha! The Only (still) cares about something. Geeks.

On February 27th I encourage all of you to wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society will not tolerate bullying anywhere. Just don't go to Surrey because you'll get your ass fucking kicked. Faggert.

Jesus H Christ i HATE Karl Rove. He's a lying salesman with no morals.

So I asked Alan Ferguson if he had a degree, to further understand why he seems to hate academics so much, and this is his reply, which I will take as a "no". "Perhaps if you would kindly phrase your question within a context I can understand I wwould be able to help you with a response". Context? Ummm....Life?

Also, no Morning Brew tomorrow (its Valentines tonight). (Its business time)

How does Karl Rove actually get asked to do these things?

Business hours are now over.
