Apparently the firing of Dave Nonis is all anybody in this city cares about so nothing really happened yesterday. Other than that.

From National Hockey League team to banana republic, the Vancouver Canucks fired general manager Dave Nonis today. What the hell does that mean? Do you even know what a banana republic is? Just stick to sports dude, don't try and dig up that foggy year of poli-sci 110.

Residents of downtown eastside get exotic treat. Grrrr. What the shit? My fucken tax dollars better not be payin for their fancy-ass food. Hell, why can't they eat a cheeseburger? What's wrong with a little quarter pounder for cryin out lout? I mean, that's all I eat.

Defence claims political meddling. So? Dave Nonis got fired. Weren't you paying attention?

Man, I even resorted to seeing if Straight-Views had anything interesting to say. All I could find was something about the opera season, toothpaste, and something about submitting art to 2010.

I suppose this City States post is vaguely interesting.
