Sorry. Have to go to Toronto to escape the mind numbingly banal task of compiling examples of absurdity in local, regional, and provincial politics; reveling in the hypocrisy and blatant pro-development spin of the Canwest controlled media environment, and documenting flaw after flaw in our social safety net as neocons sink more and more money into Olympics, Bridges, Gateways, and Convention Centres all the while a smug-faced whiner bumps poon with Hollywood elite. Don't get me wrong, its as fun as Tasering fare evaders (those scum). Alas, It has to be done.

Tyee will have a bunch of stuff on sea lice, Gregor Robertson, and a subscriber drive. The Straight will probably have some Golden Tofu award and an interesting article on Green tourism. At 24 Hours I'll learn that Boring guys aren't bad. And the Financial Post will keep on telling us super interesting things like Pink money talks. How do they get the money pink in the first place?

Frances Bula will find out something awesome about campaign finances that should shock everyone except that nobody cares. David Eby will keep rocking out the good times over at The Official Vancouver 2010 Olympics Newswire. I still think VANOCked Out Cold is a better name, but the new one is good too. Or better yet, just Suck City.

The End of Air Travel. Right after I come back from Toronto. Then it can end. Thanks.

Monocrops bring food crisis. No but seriously the Straight is right, we're fucked. The End of Bananas.

And the Tyee too, we should probably all be a wee bit worried about Deep Integration. It sounds disturbing. Like maybe something to do with a hamster and a pair of tweezers.

Torch relay has big price tag. "The RCMP's Vancouver 2010 Integrated Security Unit plans to buy $18,000 of running shoes as part of a $2.16 million plan to secure Vancouver 2010's Olympic torch relay". Chasing hippies in bandanas is hard work man, those fuckers can zip through the city with their pee soaked rags like little rats. We all need about 6 pairs each. Preferably those ones with the microchips in them. You know, for security reasons.
