Lunch Break: Sushi Zero One Celebrates 7 Years

2008-04-14-dsc_0885_ryan_weal_sushi_zero_one.jpg When you need some fresh sushi on the go you should try Sushi Zero One on Pender Street. After you place your order they will actually make most sushi on the spot. That beats any pre-made sushi place hands down.

You will be pleased to know that the sushi is topped up with some veggies that add to the character of the rolls you order. Spicy rolls (shown here) get even spicier with a bit of onion and other fixings. It makes me feel like I'm getting a balanced diet even if I do not order any vegetarian rolls.

This sushi house is on the busy portion of Pender between Seymour and Richards streets. Like the two well-known pizza places just down the street Zero One has some good deals, the yam roll is cheap, but I think you will find that it's good to splurge $3-4 for a fresh roll, you'll thank yourself later.

As it so happens, Zero One is celebrating their seventh anniversary this week so they were giving away free candy when I was there on Monday. Sushi and free candy? I'm in.

I hate to be one of those "YOU SHOULD GET A SPELL CHECKER!" people...but I thought I'd tell you that you have misspelled the first word of the article.
Just trying to be helpful :D!

Thanks for the note, I had to upload the image twice so I must have messed that up when I posted it. It's been fixed.

Best sushi downtown in my opinion. Spicy rolls are excellent.
