Person of the Week - Judah Oaks

The person of the week is Judah Oaks. He's got some missing teeth, he's is funny, he's a kick ass skater and a great photographer. Here's a photo of Robin Williams and Judah chillin' after having a skate sesh. Judah is teaching him how to street skate 'cause they are bros.

Skateboarding, photography and computers.

Tequila and Whisky.

The past 15+ years.

Where and what do you eat when you are hungover?
Joe's Grill on West Broadway

your kind of music?
Hip Hop, Metal, Punk Rock, Reggae and Classical Music. Anything but Country.

How did you get into Skateboarding?
Saw some guys skating a vert ramp in my hood back in the mid 80's and thought It looked like fun so here I am 20 years later still killing myself.

Favorite Trick?
Switch Backside 180 flips/ Backside Tailslides, Nollie and nosegrinds.

How is it done?
By doing it.

Best skate crash up?
Crushed Miniscus disc, requiring surgery 1997.

Movies?
What Remains of Us, Rabbit Proof Fence and March Of the Penguins.

What are some of the coolest things about Vancouver?
(I like) the people, restaurants, fresh air and all the skate parks.

What are the worst?
19 months of rain per year .

What do you do about Vancouver's rainy days?
Skate the various undergrounds and RDS park but basically puddle dodge.

Last words?
I'll be buried with my skateboard.
