First of all: O MY GOD DID THE MEXICANS PLAY LIKE SUPERHUMANS. Who would have thought? Their performance floored me and put me in a constant state of pretzel as I hung on to the bar for dear life. And why was Messi only substituted in at the tail end of the second half? I'm still wound-up from the game. I can't wait 'til I chill out from all the anxiety watching it and hoping for a penalty.

This game was watched at The Library Square. This place is becoming increasingly well-known for early morning hours and not just for the World Cup. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the owner being English. The place is massive and has two really big big-screen televisions plus a dozen more hung from the ceilings. They have foosball and a hockey table for half-time enjoyment.

The place was rockin' due to a tableful of Mexicans. I didn't like it though. I don't think there's any need to start yelling "faggot!" each time your rival makes a quick maneuver with the ball. And at the beginning they would chant each time Mexico would get possession. It was annoying. I'll go back to hanging out with a quiet bunch.

There were about five Argentinians - my mum and I included. Sad turn out!

Yesterday I saw Tunisia vs. Ukraine at Take 5. This is the place for early morning games if you work downtown. There are actually people and a smidgen of fans, and the tv is pretty big and now that we're over that period where they were broadcasting two games at once there won't be any conflict. And the coffee is strong.
