Hold That Pose! It's a Yogathon

Last night in my yoga class my teacher was being particularly savage. She made us hold a downward dog pose for like, 20 minutes. Then I looked at the clock and realized it had only been two. So I guess that's me out for the yogathon. 108 minutes of yoga! I would die for sure. Or else my body might permanently stay in a pretzel position - like how your mother always warns you not to scowl or your face will freeze that way - and I'd never get untangled. Some people are better at this thing than I am though, so if you can do 27 sun salutations in a row without wincing, check this out.
The official name is the Camp Moomba Yogathon and Blissfest (that doesn't sound so bad, does it?) and it's going to be held Saturday, July 21st at the UBC Thunderbird Stadium. Gates open at 2 and you will have ample time before and after those 108 minutes of yoga to reward yourself with some shopping in the artisan marketplace, eating in the organic food fair and listening to music performances. The full schedule (and lots of other information) is on their about page.
It costs $20 to enter the yogathon and the proceeds go towards brightening the lives of children with aids. Pledges are collected by participants, and the registration fee does count as a pledge donation, but no where on the site could I find a definitely number of how much you need to raise, or if collecting pledge is mandatory. I would assume it's not, but you may want to check for sure if you're as anti-fundraising as I am.
