Leeside Halloween Contest

Maybe you've looked through Jark, Simon, and Krisztina's posts and still haven't found something to do this Halloween weekend. Well I might be able to help... if you happen to have an affinity for Halloween costume parties, skateboarding, and damp, dark places where people pay tribute to their fallen comrades by leaving behind piles of garbage.
On Sunday, continuing the tradition of the Vancouver Halloween skate contests that went down at the Cract Pipe, Bonsor, and Hastings over the past few years, there's going to be a bit of a shindig down at Leeside. "But there's barely anything to skate there!", you say? Well two weeks ago you would have been correct. However, thanks to a noble and ambitious crew of guerrilla skatepark builders, Leeside is now home to a few new concrete obstacles, including a volcano, a quarterpipe, and a little spine/roller type thing.
We'll be making full use of these new Leeside features on Sunday. There's no entry fee and our sponsors are always generous so nobody leaves empty-handed. Come out and skate. But don't forget... costumes are mandatory.
Leeside is under Hastings Street just west of the Cassiar connector tunnel.
