Weekend Couch Trip
The weather has been crappy these past few days and with the weekend forecast not showing any signs of improvements, it looks like I'll be spending my weekend at the gym and indoors.
Not that it's a bad thing.
It's one of the best times of the year if you're a sports fan and there will be plenty to watch on the tube all weekend long.
Hockey is on and the Canucks are getting ready to play the Kings before setting off on a road trip that begins Sunday in Columbus.
College football is intriguing because all the supposed top-ranked teams are dropping in the polls thanks to untimely losses.
The defending champion B.C. Lions are very close to nailing down a playoff spot and get set to host the Edmonton Eskimos. Hopefully the game isn't blacked out.
The baseball playoffs are in full swing and B.C. native Jeff Francis and the National League Champion Colorado Rockies are awaiting the winner of the American League Champion Series between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians so the World Series can start.
And capping off the weekend of course is action from the National Football League on Sunday, all day.
I know rain can put a damper on your weekend, but come on, this is Vancouver and rain is a part of life in this neck of the woods.
While it rains I'm going to park my butt on my couch and watch some sports on the tube.
I'm going to make the best of a bad situation.
