gg080229.jpgReunions really seem to be in vogue these days.

Van Halen, The Police and the 1996 Colorado Avalanche are just some of the groups getting back together for another go around; hoping to relive the glory days.

There will be a more worthy reunion on Sunday that will seek to raise money for a good cause.

The Inaugural Gianfranco Giammaria Memorial Hockey Game (named after the late Vice Principal of St. Helen's elementary) will take place at the PNE Agrodome on Sunday, March 2 at 1:30 pm and will feature a number of Canucks alumni.

With Pat Quinn behind the bench, the likes of Kirk McLean, Geoff Courtnall, Dave Babych, and Cliff Ronning from the '94 team together with King Richard Brodeur, Tony Tanti and Whitecaps midfielder Alfredo Valente among others will play a charity hockey game.

Proceeds go to the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS) Foundation and the Gianfranco Giammaria Foundation and will be used to buy defibrillators for local area ice rinks.

The opposition will come in the form of the ASHL's North Burnaby Eagles who will be coached by Ernie "Punch" McLean and Lui Passaglia.

Tickets are only $10 and available at Ticketmaster and at the door and is parking is free.
