The End of a Season

That was really fun while it lasted. And really warm too. Hot at times, even. I went out more nights without a jacket than ever before. If it weren't for the fact that I pack two days' worth of equipment when I go to the club I could have saved quite a bit of money on coat check.
Summer in Vancouver is the best time in Vancouver. We are treated to so much rain that if Mother Nature gives us just one ray of light, we swarm to the beach. Give us a few days and we're glowing with Vitamin D. We're shiny with sweat and high on UV, toned from the beach volleyball and flaunting perfect skin because we're finally hydrating like the pros tell us to.
But that was then, this is now. Summer brought the curtain down crashing on Saturday and though we got a couple of days of sun, it wasn't nearly as strong as before. And if you were having any doubts or feelings of denial, yesterday's greyness must have snapped you out of it.
Now we have nine months of rain and clouds to look forward to. For those who love the cold monotiny I tip my hat to you though I have no idea what makes you tick. And to those who wish they could hibernate 'til it's time to crack out the swimming suit... dude, I empathize because I'm suffering just as much as you.

Whoah, that photo is one teensy cloth strip away from being porn. Love the ghetto-ass slip'n'slide.
