The B.C. government is refusing to fully fund a playground for a new inner-city Vancouver school, angering parents who are being forced to raise thousands of dollars so their children have somewhere to play. Key word in this sentence being "inner-city".

Parents campaign to save Garibaldi annex. East Side school faces possible closure in June. Where is it? Oh yes, East Side. Just checking.

Healthy food a luxury for low-income Vancouverites. What? These freeloading junkies and single-mom leftists are demanding healthy food. Have they never heard the term 'beggars can't be choosers'. I mean really.

It's the economy stupid. It will solve everything, didn't you know? Yeah, it's this awesome new idea that we're working on, if everybody works super hard, even all those people pretending to have mental issues or whatever, then nobody will be poor ever again. Its so simple. That is of course it actually does the total opposite and makes a new class of super rich, erases the middle class, and makes us all point fingers at immigrants and environmentalists, while corporations get off scott-free. But that totally won't happen.

While our government spends $10-million on something we already paid for in 1991.

And diverts general revenue cash to pay for Games-related costs. "Among the items it covers are a $1.4-million communications campaign, $1 million for the city's host pavilion, $2 million for hosting dignitaries and $2 million for the "look" of the city during the Olympics".

Vancouver still Canada's bank robbery capital. But it has nothing to do with the economy, they are just poor in spirit.

Mayors reject Transit plan. They call for more buses. Weird.

While the Brits get in on the act: A British environmentalist is adding his voice to concern over the impact the controversial Gateway transportation project will have on Burn's Bog.

Sometimes Mother Nature gets a little heavy on the irony.

No More Vancouver Postcards. Unfinished Business.
