6th Annual Vancouver Vintage Bike Swap

Posted by Jefff / June 13, 2007

2007_06_13_oldbike.jpgRemember when you were six years old and the big kid down the street had the coolest bike in the universe but you were too small to ride it? And he promised to give it to you when you got bigger? But then he traded it to his buddy for a 12-pack and that guy left it laying down on the driveway behind his brother's truck and it got crushed? And now you're big enough that you could ride that bike but they don't make that bike anymore and it's tearing you up inside? Well turn that frown upside down because you might just finally get that bike at the 6th Annual Old Bicycle Swap Meet on Sunday (the 17th).

For a plethora of stylish, unique, and obnoxious/noxious-emission-free rides, cruise over to the Cambrian Hall (215 E. 17th St.) sometime between 9:30am and 3:00pm on Sunday. Have an old bike you want to sell? Even better. Feed the pyramid, man. Displaying classic bikes is free and a vendor space is $25. Call Dave at 604-779-7170 for more info on that.

Also, new this year... vintage skateboards and parts will be sold at the show. True-blue sidewalk surfing gear.

This great event is brought to us by the kind folks at PD's Hot Shop, the Super Champion Shop, Disaster Speed & Cycle, and the New Departure Bicycle Club.
